A forum
"The town of Cluny in the south of Burgundy celebrates 1100 years since the construction of its abbey and a spiritual, cultural and social Clunisian Europe where the notion of citizenship is central. This event takes place in 2010, under the patronage of the town and of the Federation of Clunisian sites".
The forum will take place in Cluny, during the weekend of October 1st - 4th 2010.
This weekend falls within the scope of the year 2010, declared "Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion » by the European Union.
This is why this event, organised by Secours Catholique in partnership with Caritas Europa and the participation of Caritas organisations from across Europe, is based on values inherited from Cluny and shared throughout the 1400 Clunisian sites in Europe.

- Through your testimony and your contribution to workshops and discussions
- Through your contribution to the forum or to some highlights like the welcome evening, the round table discussions, the dinner in the abbey cloister, exhibitions and the institutional days at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg.
Experience the hospitality and solidarity
- With the citizens of Cluny and its surrounding area, who will warmly welcome you into their homes and where you will be able to stay free of charge during this "weekend" (or perhaps in exchange for a "donation" left at your discretion).
- By sharing your experiences and ideas for combating poverty and social exclusion in Europe with delegations from all over France and European Caritas organisations.
